FLC Graduate to lead local organization in 2017

EAST CAPITOL PENSIONNE, BRGY. KAMPUTHAW, CEBU CITY (Sat 10 Sept 2016) – One of the most active members of JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel in recent years was elected unanimously as the 12th President of JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel Inc.

Patrick Henry Perez II, the 2016 Local Training Director for JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel was elected as part of the 9-man Board of Directors for 2017. A Future Leaders’ Camp graduate when the said program was first conducted in 2015, H, as he is more known among his peers and his JCI colleagues is no stranger to the organization.

In 2015, he served as President Idyll Liza Peroramas’ Local Deputy Secretary and was recognized as instrumental in putting JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel in 1st Place of the JCIPEA Points system for the entire Visayas (Are IV) in the 2015 Visayas Area Conference held in Lapu-Lapu City, Mactan Island in September 2015.

A JCI member since 2012 when he was invited to JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel by Leizl Palicte-Villarin, H has risen through the ranks within the local organization and invested time to learn and be trained on how to become a more active young citizen. Initially, he opted to follow the training path within JCI and is an active trainer for the following JCI signature courses:

As he grew within the organization, so did his leadership perspectives and his passion for the JCI values. He has shown and manifested the leadership qualities that are needed to be a leader in the local organization when he became a focal point for the multi-Temyong awarded Read to Lead program and as the lead for the 2015 JCI Visayas Area Conference Registration and Secretariat.

An investment consultant by profession, H aims to further the Vision and Mission of JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel in its 12th year. His calm and calculating demeanor is respected among his peers and colleagues within JCI and his profession.

As it has always been the tradition, members from the Council of Presidents conducted the elections that followed the 9th General Membership Meeting presided over by 2015 President Rico Bastida, which was also preceded by a sumptuous boodle dinner. Serving as the 2016 JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel Commission of Elections chairman was 2008 President Jolex Yu Lim and was assisted by the 2014 President Ryan Expeditus Andales and 2009 President and 2013 Central Visayas Regional Vice President Emi Rose Parcon.

After the election, President-elect H made a declaration in focusing on the growth of the chapter. Focusing on the individual members’ development and focusing on bettering the camaraderie and fellowship of the members and their respective loved ones. He made mention of imbibing a culture of being a family for JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel.

As President-elect, H will be representing JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel during the 17th JCI Philippines Presidents’ Academy at BIG Hotel in Mandaue City, to be hosted by JCI Zugbuana.
