EAST CAPITOL PENSIONNE, BRGY. KAMPUTHAW, CEBU CITY (Sat. 13 Sep 2014) – Exactly a week after being awarded as JCI Visayas’ Most Outstanding Member of 2014, JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel Veep Idyll Liza Peroramas was elected as the 2015 President for the 34th Visayas Area Conference’s Most Outstanding JCI Local Organization.
Peroramas, who first joined the local organization in 2012, will officially assume the Presidency on January 1, 2015, when 2014 President Ryan Expeditus Andales will end his successful term, which garnered nine (9) Quadro Awards and one (1) Merit Award, plus finishing 4th in the Visayas in the Changemakers rankings, during the recently concluded Visayas Area Conference in Bacolod City, which was hosted by JCI Metro Bacolod Inc.
She will be leading the local organization as it takes on one of its most ambitious projects in 2015, hosting the 35th JCI Visayas Area Conference in Lapu-Lapu City, Mactan Island, Cebu. The President-elect is no stranger to organizing these kinds of events, as she had an integral role when JCI Central Visayas, through the collaboration of its local organizations and the National Training Director, Christopher Camba of JCI Cebu, successfully hosted the 2014 Batch Tides Presidents’ Mid-Year Academy in May 2014.
Providing further testament to her dynamic capabilities as a catalyst for positive change and as a leader, her project, the JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel Rock to Lead Concert, will happen less than a week after her election, on September 19, at The Family Park complex in Talamban, Cebu City. The concert aims to raise awareness to JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel’s goal of eradicating illiteracy through its Read to Lead Programs. The concert features the President-elect’s brother, renowned rapper Loonie together with artists extraordinaire Abra, Ron Henley, DJ Buddah, Mike Swift, and Greyhoundz. Also playing during this event are Bethany, Drop Decay, Foc Fashion, Dance With Me Kris, Cebu Elite Beatboxers United, Shuffled, Dropout Club, Mathina, and Empatzu.
Idyll holds a degree of BA Mass Communications from the University of the Philippines and was a former Editor-In-Chief for the school paper “Tug-Ani”.

Lending support to the organization’s General Elections was 2015 Regional Vice-President-elect Daryl Bihag of JCI WoMandaue and 2015 President-elect of JCI Mandaue Alvin Chong.
Immediately following her election as the Local Organization’s 10th President, the President-elect presented her 10-point agenda that would serve as a roadmap for the organization in 2015.
