CEBU CITY (Tues 22 Oct 2013) - National artists and local bands are coming in together for “Ubec Unite: Rock for Bohol,” a benefit concert organized by the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Cebu-Mactan Channel in partnership with KOA Tree House. The concert will happen on October 25, 7:00 PM at the KOA Tree House with entrance fee pegged at P100. “Cebuanos never fail to unite during crisis, so does the music community,” said Idyll Liza Peroramas, event project chairperson and 2014 Vice President for Administration of the JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel. TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol (Wed 16 Oct 2013) – After a massive 7.2 magnitude earthquake devastated Bohol and Cebu, Junior Chamber International (JCI) chapters in these provinces have taken action, giving flesh to the 6th JCI tenet that “Service to Humanity is the Best Work of Life”. JCI Boholana Kisses started a relief operation for the affected families in Bohol, particularly in Loon and Maribojoc, a couple of many towns that received the brunt of the Oct. 15 tremor whose epicenter was found in Carmen town. JARO, Iloilo City (Thu 10 October 2013) --The beats and dances of Dinagyang reverberated in the halls of the Centennial Resort Hotel Convention Center as the 65th National Convention of JCI Philippines opened with deafening drum rolls. Chito Miranda and the rest pf Parokya ni Edgar filled the party atmosphere as delegates from all over the country sang with them in their favorite songs, and continued to dance all night long, drowning themselves with overflowing beer and Fundador provided by the bidders for a 2015 NatCon in Dagupan City.
