Best of Asia Pacific, JCI Mem. Lorelei ‘Maimai’ M. Dasmariñas, CNT adjudged as Most Outstanding JCI Trainer in the Asia Pacific Area for 2008
JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel (Philippines), a baby chapter at the very least, added another feather to its cap as valued Chapter Training Force Member and Chapter Adviser, JCI Mem. Lorelei ‘Maimai’ Dasmariñas was awarded as the Most Outstanding JCI Trainer in the entire JCI Asia Pacific Area last June 1, 2008 during the 57th Junior Chamber International Asia Pacific Conference in Busan, South Korea.
JCI Philippines, as represented by its National President, JCI Sen. Raphael Angelo ‘Rip’ Lesaca received the award in behalf of Maimai.
Maimai, as she is fondly called by her colleagues and friends was also adjudged as JCI Philippines’ Most Outstanding JCI Trainer during its Visayas Area Conference and National Convention last September and October respectively in Catbalogan City and Cebu City.
She currently serves as an integral part of JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel’s Chapter Training Force which earned the LOM the monicker as the Training Chapter in JCI Central Visayas. Maimai also served as the Visayas Area Training Director last year when she was appointed by then Visayas National Excutive Vice President and now JCI Philippines National Treasurer JCI Sen. Manuel Van Torrevillas.
Indeed Maimai’s journey as a Trainer has come a long way. She played a very important role during the Philippines’ hosting of the last ASEAN Conference in Cebu City last January 2007 as she handled the training and development of all the liaison personnel assigned to handle various tasks during the said conference.
Together with JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel Charter President Cerwin Eviota, 2007 President Angelo Daniel Parcon and 2008 President Jolex Yu Lim, she has provided a solid structure for the chapter’s vaunted Training Force which has produced signature programs such as the Coffee Conversations and the Finding NeMO Seminar.
Prior to joining the ranks of JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel (Philippines), Maimai served as President of JCI Cebu Hara in 2005, a chapter with which JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel aims to revive in the near future.
With Maimai’s award as one of the best in Asia Pacific, JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel has once again proven its mettle to the rest of the world and contributes once again to the burgeoning testament of excellence being espoused by the movement.
For a chapter that only started in 2006, JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel (Philippines) truly has the membership and the leaders that exemplify the BE BETTER battlecry that which is called for by the Junior Chamber International Organization.
