Final Hurrah for the 2014 President

BO’S COFFEE CAPITOL, OSMEÑA BLVD, CEBU CITY (Sunday, 18 Sep 2016) – No more a week later (and some) for JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel’s General Membership Meeting and General Elections, the local organization hosted a Regional Training of the JCI Official Course: Networking at the heart of the City of Cebu.

Tapped to be the Head Trainer for the said activity was 2014 JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel President Ryan Expeditus Andales who a few weeks later would be moving to Las Vegas, Nevada, USA to be with his family. The training activity generated support from other JCI local organizations as members from JCI Cebu and JCI Metro Cebu Uptown were also in attendance.

Serving as Project Chairperson was the incoming 2017 Local Organization Secretary of JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel Sherlaine Jane Campugan. Also in attendance to gain more training exposure and in the process become a Head Trainer for the said JCI Official Course was the President-elect for 2017 of JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel, Patrick Henry “H” Perez II.

Networking is the JCI course on turning your personal contacts into lasting, trusted and productive connections and relationships. The course covers the principles and dynamics of networking, how to identify and use the opportunities when contacting people, the follow up actions needed after meeting the person to keep adding value to the connection and how to use the participation in JCI activities to build a reputation that will establish a network of connections for the future.

It was a bittersweet event for the 2014 President who first joined the organization in 2007. He was one of the last PRIME graduates for JCI Philippines, trained by no less than JCI Malaysia’s Teresa Alberto. Much like the incoming President, H, Ryan had intended to follow the path of Training in JCI. After going on hiatus the previous couple of years, in 2013, the opportunity to lead the local organization beckoned Andales.

With the training, Andales, who was the sole certified trainer for JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel for Networking, provided the opportunities to become Head Trainers themselves to eleven (11) JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel members who included members of the Board of Directors in 2017.
